Google Authenticator Sync / Un-Sync
Overview
Staff members using the Google Authenticator app as a Multi-Factor Authentication method are facing a minor issue while attempting to change their passphrase. In order to change your passphrase without getting locked out, the Google Authenticator app must be un-synced from your Google account. If you change your passphrase while the Google Authenticator app is still synced to your account, the Google Authenticator app will prompt for a sign-in and you will be locked out of your account.
NOTE: To verify if your Google Authenticator app Synced or Un-Synced refer to the photos below. The photo on the left is a Synced account and the photo on the right is an Un-Synced account. (You can tap on the cloud icon next to the profile icon to see the message in the photos.)

How to Un-Sync Google Authenticator
