Backing up your HP Elite Computer

It is important to backup your documents regularly. Documents you store on your computer are NOT automatically backed up, so please follow the steps below to regularly backup your data.
Steps for Backing up Files
Step One:
Determine which documents you wish to backup. On an HP Elite, the majority of the documents are already automatically backed up to your Google Drive account. The only area that you need to look at is the Downloads folder.
Step Two:
Connect to Downloads folder in the Google Drive Files App.
- Locate the File App (blue folder icon on the dock or by using the circle launcher on the bottom left)
- Open or expand the My FIles area so that you can see the Downloads folder. Look to see if there are any downloads you would like to keep a copy of from the list.
Step Three:
Drag the files you wish to backup into your Google Drive folder.
- If you would like to create a special backup folder, create one by pressing "+ New" in the top right hand corner while you are in Drive.
- Dragging the files will move a copy of those into your Google Drive and you can go ahead and delete any files you wish from the downloads folder.
